Details

This bird’s-eye-view shows the Bay Area from a deliberately skewed perspective designed to emphasize the city of Palo Alto and Stanford University. It is surrounded by photographic vignettes of buildings and areas in Palo Alto, including the famous Stanford Memorial Church.

Past and present are depicted on either side of a cartouche with the words “Romantic Spanish Heritage” — to the left a band of Spanish horseman, to the right an airlines, speeding train, and automobiles.
