Map of the United States from Mitchell’s New General Atlas, with important information on the late 19th century United States, including settlements, rivers, named railroads, steamship lines, and more. Oklahoma, in the midst of continual settlement that would eventually lead to the opening of unassigned lands and the claims of the so-called ‘Sooners,’ is labeled Indian Territory.
