Description
Incredible city view of Bologna with surrounding countryside. Important monuments are labeled and depicted in exquisite detail, including the leaning Torre Garisenda, still standing today. City walls and gates are presented in the foreground.
The map is adorned with three coat’s-of-arms and a floating title scroll.

Giusppe Longhi was an active typographer and publisher, famous for his exceptional views of Italian cities, which followed the iconographic model of Dutch landscapes of the beginning of the 17th century.
Condition Description
A variety of condition issues: spots, heavy folds, trimmed lower margin, reinforced back. Image bright and lovely.
