David Klein (1918–2005) was a prolific American artist renowned for his vibrant travel posters, particularly those created for Trans World Airlines (TWA) during the 1950s and 1960s. Born in El Paso, Texas, he moved to California, where he attended the Art Center School in Los Angeles and became an active member of the California Watercolor Society. Klein’s work, which includes illustrations for Broadway, Hollywood, the US Army, and various corporate clients, remains iconic for its depiction of mid-20th-century travel and design. His posters are celebrated for their vivid colors, dynamic compositions, and artistic innovation.
