This lovely hand-colored map of Seattle presents the city in the beginning of its post-WWII boom. This was a time when Boeing transitioned into the leading producer of commercial passenger planes. We see the city’s different neighborhoods and green spaces, museums, and the University of Washington.
The map was issued as a promotion for Bekins Moving & Storage Co., and is adorned with a moving truck and an industrial storage building.
