Luigi Mayer (1755 – 1803) was an Italian illustrator and painter of German origin. Mayer was a keen observer and expert on the Ottoman Empire. He traveled extensively in Ottoman lands, and his illustrations of life and monuments there are considered invaluable documentation of the Ottoman Empire in the second half of the 18th century.
